Sam Hunt is far and away the biggest name in country music when it comes to streaming
According to a recent Billboard article, only two (non-holiday) country songs this year have made it onto the all-genre Streaming Songs tally, which lists the 50 most popular songs across streaming platforms every week here in the U.S. They are Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina’s “What Ifs” and Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road,” which rocketed all the way into the top 10 on the Hot 100 earlier in 2017 as well.
Throughout the last three years, Hunt has been the only country musician powerful enough to place at least a single title on the all-encompassing streaming chart, and chances are he’ll be able to do so again in 2018.
